One of the biggest stars in musical theatre will attend the opening of an amateur dramatic production.
Finchley and Friern Barnet Operatic Society honorary vice president Elaine Page will attend the opening night of its production of Mack & Mabel at the Intimate Theatre, Palmers Green, on November 12,
The premiere on November 12 will be a gala night in aid of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care in Barnet, for which the society hopes to raise £1,000.
A spokesman said: "As an active community group in North London, aside from entertaining, we also want to serve the community on a wider scale and do more than just perform.
“We are very proud for our production of Mack & Mabel to be associated with Cherry Lodge and very excited that our opening gala night will be attended by our honorary vice president Elaine Paige, a North London girl herself and arguably one of the world’s biggest musical theatre stars."
The show will run from November 12 to 15.
