Londoners are being encouraged to get and enjoy the open air this summer.

For the first time, Londoners can go online to find out more about what is happening near their homes thanks to a new interactive map that lists green spaces and parks.

More than 200 public spaces across the capital, including Harrow town centre and Haringey’s Dinosaur play park, have been pin pointed on the map, with many of these having undergone improvements as part of the Mayor’s London’s Great Outdoors initiative.

More than £400 million has been invested into 242 projects since 2009, and now Mayor of London Boris Johnson is encouraging Londoners to get out and explore them this summer.

The map, which can be found online here, lists squares, streets and greens according to whether the scheme has been completed or is still in progress.
