Children displayed their best toothy grins at a photo shoot to help a special needs charity create greeting cards.

Elias Castleton, 11, Tali Rose, nine, Evie Rubinoff, four and Serena Noe, three, will see their faces on Kisharon’s cards to mark Rosh Hashannah.

The charity, based in Parson Street, Hendon, asked adults with learning disabilities to help put the cards together.

Elias and Tali are pupils at Kisharon Day School, in Finchley Road, while Evie and Serena go to Kisharon’s Tuffkid Nursery, in Brent Cross.

The charity will also try to raise money by selling home-made honey cakes which are typically eaten during Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year.

Nahva Rose, Tali’s mother, said: “Kisharon is an amazing charity – they are unbelievable and try to do their best for all the kids.”

In an appeal letter, chief executive Dr Beverly Jacobson, said: “It is so important for us to be able to help so that the people we support can equally enjoy the same opportunities as us all through your geneoristy.”

Kisharon needs £1.9million voluntary funding to keep its nursery, school and adult services going for the next 12 months.

Richard FrankliJackn, Kisharon’s fundraising director added: “We are hoping to match the £51,000 raised last year as well as gaining valuable awareness of our work.”
