A 38-year-old man who was hit by a bus in East Finchley last week has died.
The collision happened on Tuesday, August 25 on the A1000 High Road, above the North Circular Road, at about 7.30am.
The man is believed to have been attempting to cross the road and stepped off the footpath when he was hit by the number 134 bus.
The Metropolitan Police have now confirmed that the man, who has not yet been named, died on Thursday, August 27.
Officers believe they know the identity of the man, and next of kin have been informed.
The bus driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Mike Weston, Transport for London’s director of buses, said: “Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of the man who died after a collision with a route 134 bus at around 7.30am on Finchley High Road last week. A full investigation is being carried out.”
Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
