AS Barnet’s population continues to soar, people are being asked for their views on GP services in Colindale and West Hendon.

Major regeneration projects are planned in the west of the borough over the next few years, and the consultation by Barnet Council and the NHS aims to find out how to tackle the challenges posed by these.

Two key proposals include a replacement of the Grahame Park Health Centre, and a new health facility at the Peel Centre site in Colindale.

The consultation will end on January 31 and can be visited at engage.barnet.gov.uk

Councillor Helena Hart, chairman of the health and wellbeing board, said: “We want to make absolutely sure that there are adequate and accessible health facilities available in the areas for our residents and I would encourage as many people as possible to take part in the consultation.”

Drop-in sessions will also be held for people to find out more.

The first will take place today (December 1) from 6pm to 8pm at Beaufort Park Estate Management Suite in Heritage Avenue, Colindale.

Another will take place on Tuesday, January 12 from 6pm to 8pm at Grahame Park Library, The Concourse, Grahame Park.

And another session will take place on Wednesday, January 20 from 10am to 12pm at Grahame Park Library.
