Angry neighbours say a damaged public footpath is an “accident waiting to happen”.
The path between Kingsmead and Meadway in High Barnet, is a growing concern for people living nearby, as they say it is “dangerous.”
Miguel Santos, who lives next to path in Barnet, said he first contacted Barnet Council on December 3 last year, and is still waiting for something to be done.
Mr Santos said: “My children, my wife, my grandparents all use this pathway, as well as many other local residents, including people with sticks and mothers with toddlers in prams.
“People pay taxes to have these things sorted and the council has a statutory duty to reply to complaints too. Whoever is responsible for this is not doing his job properly and that should not be tolerated.
“It has been like this for many many years, it really is like an accident waiting to happen.”
On April 12, Mr Santos sent an email to Barnet’s Parks Department saying he had still had not received an explanation from anyone.
The Times Series contacted Barnet Council who said they are looking into the matter.
