A PERSON has died after being hit by a train at Potters Bar rail station.
Police officers and fire engines were called to the scene around 11.39am on Friday (July 22).
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service also attended.
Police officers are working on identifying the person.
The Great Northern Railway UK tweeted the rail lines between Potters Bar and Brookmans Park are currently blocked.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said: “Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service also attended. A person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers will now work to identify the person and inform their family. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
