A man has been charged with the murder of an 18-year-old who was stabbed to death near a supermarket.

Police were called to Regents Park Road in Finchley at 9.40pm on August 7, where Yusuf Mohamoud was found seriously injured near the Sainsbury’s supermarket.

The 18-year-old from Enfield died at the scene of the incident.

Tyrese Jennings, 20, of Litchfield Grove, Finchley, was charged today (August 15) with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court later today.

Two 15-year-old boys, who cannot be named because of their age, were charged in relation to the stabbing on August 11.

They appeared in custody at Willesden Youth Court on Saturday (August 12), and are now set to appear at the Old Bailey today.

Yusuf’s family have been informed about the latest developments.

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information about the incident, or who was in the area between 9pm and 10pm on August 7, to come forward.
