An underground station was shut for hours after a man was stabbed in a nearby station.

Police were called to Burnt Oak station on Sunday (September 10) at 7.30am following reports of a stabbing.

Officers found a man, 28, who was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing, British Transport Police said.

Edgware station, which is linked to Burnt Oak on the Northern line, was also shut during the day as a search was conducted linked to the stabbing.

According to Transport for London, access was prohibited to the station between at least 8am to 10am as British Transport Police officers were at the scene.

In one picture, Bakery Path next to the Paddy Power shop was also taped off by police with officers stood outside.
