Two men reported being subjected to antisemitic abuse and one was grabbed by the arm by a pair of attackers who took off in a white van.

Police say the victims were walking along Manor Park Gardens in Edgware just before 4.45pm on Saturday (November 25) when they were approached by two male suspects.

The duo reportedly made antisemitic remarks and grabbed one of the men by the arm.

They then left the scene in a white Peugeot van, which has the number plate NU13 HRN.

The Metropolitan Police have now issued an appeal for information about the incident as they would like to speak to the owner of the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said the incident is being treated as a hate crime.

Detective Sergeant Dax Hollick, from the policing team in north-west London, said: “We have seen a concerning rise in both antisemitic and Islamophobia hate crimes.

“This is absolutely unacceptable and we are taking action. We will be relentless in targeting those who commit hate crimes and threaten our communities.

“If anyone sees this vehicle please do not approach the occupants and call 999 immediately.”
