A new park has opened in Barnet, offering nature lovers open green space and wildlife walks.

The local community can now explore the vast site of Ridgeway Views Woodland Gardens, complete with ponds, wildflowers and fresh trees, after it was officially opened by Mayor of Barnet Cllr Nagus Narenthira in December.

Nature lovers have the opportunity to connect with wildlife, while sports-lovers can enjoy free fitness equipment provided in the gardens.

Trails for walks and runs lead directly to the countryside of Totteridge Valley, and guests at the opening event were encouraged to join a nature-themed scavenger hunt.

Yolanda Jacob, sales and marketing director at Barratt East London, said: "We are very excited to have marked the official opening of the Woodland Gardens that we have at Ridgeway Views.

"The new outdoor area is a great opportunity for the community to unwind and enjoy open green space whilst living in a residential area close to the centre of London."
