Onto our 2nd weekend of results at Alan Drive, home to EBOG FC........

......it was too much to expect another unbeaten week and it was back to reality with a bump for 4 of our sides.

The 1sts travelled with just the bare eleven to a difficult fixture away at a Club who were in Div 1 last season. Rob Laney scored our only goal reaching something of a milestone in his long struggle to resolve and recover from a serious knee injury, which has kept him out of football for nigh on 2 years.

The 2nds made heavy weather of what on paper should have been a fairly easy stepping stone to the next round of the AFA Cup. They settled to their task in the second half and apparently should have scored 5 or 6. Old Salopians had an interesting approach to hospitality providing sandwiches for their team and none for the visitors! Jordan Garrard managed to beg a few slices though.

The 3rds had a much tougher fixture against the second placed side from last season. They lost but could easily have won based on chances with Darren heading against the post before finally pulling back a goal in the last minute.

The 4ths became EBOG’s most successful side with their second straight win this time at Crouch End.

The 5ths won easily against OF’s 4ths last week but found their 5ths much harder. A few soft goals put them 0-3 down but a spirited comeback was in vain.

The 6ths were much more in the game than the scoreline might suggest.

The 7ths grabbed the only points won at Alan Drive out of 4 games with Darren Gale getting the first hattrick of the season.

The 8ths were not so lucky at Winchmore Hill but it could have been very different but for some sloppy goals given away.
