Welcome to EBOG FC's weekly run down.

The 1sts are on something of a run. With their third consecutive win they nailed the team two positions above them with ease. Pick of the goals was an acrobatic overhead kick from Rob Harris. More importantly they could have had their third consecutive shut-out as well but for Sam Patel mistaking the ball for a pie and throwing it into the back of the net to eat later!

The 2nds are on something of a different run with their third consecutive loss. Mind you they have been playing all the higher sides.

The 3rds would have been expected to beat a side from the lower division but it was not all that convincing. However, it is an impressive 7 wins in a row for Lee’s men!

The 4ths made short work of bottom of the table Alex Park and consolidated their 4th position.

The 5ths were very disappointed to miss a golden opportunity to go top and instead slip to 4th place.

The 6ths met the runaway leaders of the division, Parks 7s, and found out why they’re there. The only strange thing is that they are 14 points above their 6s. A hint of squads?

Our 7ths v 8ths encounter rarely disappoints and another close game wasn’t decided until the last 5 minutes when Adam Callow celebrated his return to competitive football, after his knee op, with a winning header.

The 9ths came up against a 7ths who could have given our 3rds a run for their money. They were far quicker and better in all departments except goalkeeper. We held them out for half-an-hour and they were getting very irritated. Had Roy Bertauche buried a header at 0-0, they might have self-destructed with bickering! We conceded all the goals in the last 15 minutes of each half. 30 minutes each way would do the ageing 9ths just nicely. A welcome return for man-mountain Ken Millbanks who fell over at one point and set off a Tsunami across the Lea Valley Reservoir!
