Welcome to the weekly EBOG FC report.

It was a different feel to Saturday morning at Alan Drive with all the Bertauche's away from EBOG for the first time in 10 years, you really have to question their loyalty to the club, I'm not sure who allowed them the day off!!

On the pitch it was business as usual, with the 1st team again putting on an excellent display, this time against BB Eagles, in their quest for promotion to Division 1. Sam Berry and Rob Harris are continuing their goal scoring form with Jack Chandler and Rob Laney chipping in with a couple each too!

Symmetrical results was the order of the day as both the 2xi and 3xi travelled the long distance to Carshalton, meeting at New Barnet station long before most of the club were out of bed or watching Soccer AM with both suffering defeats with the same score line.

The surprise result of the day was at Owens where the 4xi were soundly beaten by their hosts, if they were trying to mimic the 1xi they succeeded but with the goals going in the wrong direction.

The 5xi got an excellent result against Old Parkonians on the middle pitch, with both teams choosing to start at 1-1 rather than 0-0 from the KO. The 5xi took the lead from the whistle only to concede seconds later; luckily this trend didn't continue for the next 89 minutes as the ref would have lost count!

The 7xi were left disappointed against Alexandra Park on the top pitch; with good friend of the club Nigel (AP Captain) obtaining his first win of the season against a disjointed EBOG side, though there was time to roll back the years with Sid Draper scoring two goals and super sub George impressing up front and was unlucky to get a couple of goals of his own

The 8xi came up against promotion contenders Southgate Olympic who showed why they have a chance for the title, both Southgate sides in this division look on course to be promoted if results continue.

Finally the Ladies progressed through to the 4th round of the John Greenacre Memorial Trophy with a good win against Watford Development at Alan Drive on Sunday.
