Assistant head coach Uli Landvreugd has left Barnet with immediate effect, the club have confirmed.

The Dutchman spent more than 18 months on the coaching staff at Barnet, having initially joined the club as assistant head coach following Edgar Davids' appointment as joint head coach in October 2012.

Landvreugd and fellow countryman Dick Schreuder were placed in charge of the first-team in January after Davids left the club.

In nine games in charge, Landvreugd and Schreuder oversaw five consecutive wins before a run of four defeats saw the return of Martin Allen in mid-March.

A statement on the club's official site read: "The return of Allen as head-coach means a change in direction and as Barnet FC gear towards the 2014/15 season changes will be made throughout all areas of the club.

"The key moving forward is for Martin to assemble a team of staff who he feels can work with the first-team in order to achieve the club’s primary aim, promotion."

Landvreugd began his career at Dutch giants Ajax before finishing with Ipswich Town in 1995.
