Barnet loanee Ben Tomlinson proved a menace as Grimsby Town drew 1-1 with Forest Green Rovers in the National League on Saturday.

Tomlinson started up front once again for Paul Hurst’s side and played 77 minutes of the game at Blundell Park before being replaced by Nathan Arnold.

He provided a threat throughout and whilst he could not get his first goal for the Mariners, won the free-kick from which Jon-Paul Pittman put the home side in front.

Their lead was short-lived, though, as Jon Parkin equalised just three minutes later. Former Bee Keanu Marsh-Brown started for Rovers and played 83 minutes before being substituted.

In the Isthmian Premier Division, defender Tamille Roache played 90 minutes for Metropolitan Police as they won 2-0 at Hendon.

Goals from Taureen Roberts and Joe Turner in the second half sealed victory for the Met.

Centre-back Harry Taylor played 82 minutes as Hampton & Richmond lost 3-1 at Leiston.

Nicke Kabamba put visiting Hampton ahead after 35 minutes before Gareth Heath (2) and Joe Francis turned the game in the home side’s favour.

Goalkeeper Ashlee Jones, who was on trial with Barnet in pre-season, kept goal for the Suffolk side.

Shane Cojocarel came off the bench for Billericay Town as they lost 3-2 to Staines Town.

A Pat Cox hat-trick, with the final goal coming in the 90th minute, turned a 2-1 deficit in the visitors’ favour.

Former Barnet striker Cliff Akurang was included in Billericay’s starting XI whilst Staines boasted former Bees Joe O’Cearuill and Ahmed Abdulla.
