Six tries from Derry O’Connor fired Hendon to the summit of the Herts/Middlesex League 2 with a 67-17 rout of Old Isleworthians on Saturday.

O’Connor made his first incision by going over after six minutes before adding a second shortly after.

And O’Connor had completed his hat-trick by the 14th minute to give the visitors a 19-0 lead.

Hendon had their fourth bonus point try by the 17th minute as O’Connor once again crossed the whitewash.

And the visitors continued in that vein with Toby Ikwuele (2), Cian Hynes and Robert Nunez all going over to send Hendon to the summit.

Hendon host Chess Valley on Saturday.

In the Herts/Middlesex 1, Barnet Elizabethans returned to winning ways with a 34-5 win at London French on Saturday.

Victory leaves the Elizabethans lying third in the league standings after three fixtures.

They host Kilburn Cosmos on Saturday.

In London 3 North West, Finchley just edged out Wasps by a solitary point to win 25-24.

They host Datchworth on Saturday.
