Barnet lost at home to Mansfield Town for the first time in 17 years on Saturday as the Stags ran out 3-1 winners in a game which saw both sides reduced to ten men.

Mansfield took the lead when Reggie Lambe steered a half-volley beyond Jamie Stephens into the far corner of the Barnet net.

And things went from bad to worse as Josh Clarke was given a second yellow before half-time to leave the Bees a man light.

Matt Green doubled the visitors' advantage after the restart before substitute John Akinde hauled Barnet back into the game from the penalty spot.

Chris Clements was then sent off for Mansfield for a his second yellow card but it mattered not as Luke Gambin put through his own net at the death in trying to stop Matty Blair scoring.
