Wingate and Finchley have secured a double signing ahead of the new season, with the addition of experienced pair Shane Gore and Steve Wales.

Goalkeeper Gore begun his career at now-defunct Wimbledon, and has played for 12 clubs in his career, most recently featuring for Wealdstone last season on a dual registration from Chesham, where he had been since 2010.

He was understudy at Luton to regular keeper Mark Tyler in 2009, and made three league appearances for the club before moving on.

Wales, 33, is an attacking midfielder most recently on a dual registration with Dunstable Town from St Albans, and joined the club last Thursday.

Manager Keith Rowland said: “A naturally fit player, Steve was an obvious fit for the club and we are excited to have him at the club.”
