Nicke Kabamba was the hat-trick hero as Barnet hit derby rivals Boreham Wood for six in the National League,

Bees included new signing Jordan Maguire-Drew on the bench and had the first sight of goal on seven minutes as Zak Brunt played Harry Pritchard through, but his shot was turned onto the crossbar by Wood keeper Nathan Ashmore.

The home side struck on 14 minutes, though, as Anthony Hartigan's lofted ball in behind the visiting defence found Kabamba to finish calmly.

Pritchard had a header from a corner tipped over but would not be denied on 29 minutes, sliding in at the far post to finish Kabamba's ball across the face of goal.

Brunt had a volley from the edge of the box saved soon after, as Bees continued to dominate, and it was 3-0 just before half-time as Kabamba fired into the top right corner for his second goal of the game.

Kabamba went close to completing a first-half hat-trick in stoppage time after knocking the ball past Ashmore, but it was cleared by a Wood defender.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men just four minutes after the restart as Jack Payne was shown a red card.

And Reece Hall-Johnson made it 4-0 on 53 minutes when timing his run perfectly to slot home at the far post.

Bees were awarded a penalty midway through the second half, with Kabamba slotting calmly home to complete his treble.

And debutant Maguire-Drew made it a super six with 16 minutes left, having only joined the action on the hour mark.
